You're
looking for a limousine company for your
special occasion. So you search the internet
and, for the most part, most limousine companies
appear similar. They describe their vehicles in
a similar manner and the pictures on their website
look the same. They all use phrases like
"late model cars", "well
maintained", etc. How are you, the
consumer, supposed to tell the difference? So
you check prices of a few companies and go with the
cheapest, right? I mean really, how different can they be?
The
truth is that there is a huge difference amongst
limousine companies, their vehicles and the service
they provide. As a consumer you need to find out the important
information before you choose the limousine company
for your special transportation:
1)
What year is the vehicle they are offering for your
reservation?
The phrase "late model" means something
different to each person. Do you really consider
a 2001 model a "late model" vehicle?
2)
Are the pictures on their website actual pictures of
their cars? Or are they generic pictures pulled
off the internet? I would guess 50% of limousine
companies choose not to show actual pictures of their
fleet.
3)
Will they arrange a time for you to see the vehicle
before you make a reservation? A company that is
proud of their fleet will welcome your visit to their
business location.
4)
What extra fees are going to be added to the quote
you're given? The cheapest quote may not end-up
being the cheapest after the extra fees are
added. Make sure you know the total cost and get
it in writing.
5)
How many passengers will comfortably fit in the
vehicle? A 10-passenger limousine will NOT hold
10-passengers. In fact, the true number is
probably 7 or 8 and you need to know that information
before the car shows up and part of your group can't
get into the car.
Consider
the following scenario:
How
would you feel if one of the following vehicles showed
up for your special occasion? How important is
the $10/hour you saved by booking with the cheapest
company when one of these cars arrive?
Note:
These are actual pictures displayed on other limousine
company's websites as examples of their fleet.
Or
were you expecting a little nicer vehicle?
Why
should you do select Texas Lone Star Limousine to
provide transportation for your special event or
occasion?
1) We have one of the newest fleets in the DFW
area. In fact, the oldest vehicle in our fleet
has only been on the road since mid-2006.
We're so confident about the quality of our vehicles
that we welcome you to visit our shop and inspect our
vehicles before you make a reservation. Do you
really want to be surprised when a vehicles arrives
that is older or more worn that you expected?
2) We will never surprise you with unexpected
surcharges, fees, etc. We will give you a fair
and honest quote when you book your reservation with
us and NEVER surprise you with additional charges
"after the fact". What good is a low
hourly rate if you learn later that there are
excessive extra fees such as a maintenance surcharge,
fuel surcharge, etc. that actually makes the final
bill higher than you expected?
3)
All reservations will be confirmed via email.
This practice effectively eliminates mistakes as you
are able to review every detail of your reservation to
make sure it is correct. Wouldn't you rather
find out immediately if one of the details on your
reservation is incorrect rather than discovering it on
the day of your trip?
4) Our customer service is second-to-none.
Every employee is empowered to do almost anything to
ensure that
your time with us is memorable from start to finish.
If you are celebrating a special occasion please let
us know. We routinely provide complimentary flowers for our
guests when celebrating a special occasion such as a
birthday, anniversary, etc.
Still
looking for the cheapest limousine? Here are
some risks associated with shopping for the cheapest
limousine service:
1)
Your limousine does not arrive on time. You miss your
special event.
2) The car is late and, consequently, you miss
your flight and an important corporate meeting.
You are forced to pay an extra $400 to rebook your
flight for a later time, yet you saved $10 on your
airport transportation.
3)
A 1992 limousine rusting at the seams arrives at your
door when you were expecting at a 2007 model. Instead
of being lavished in luxury, you are embarrassed in
front of your family and/or friends.
4) Your limousine chauffeur exercises poor
customer service with your company's most influential
client. You lose the account.
5) Your limousine breaks down on the freeway
during your trip to a big-time sporting event.
You and 11 of your friends missed the start of the big
game - your tickets cost $500 a piece, yet you saved
$35.00 on limo service.
6) Your limousine service gets into an accident
and does not have proper insurance to cover the
damages involved in your injuries.
7) Your limousine arrives late for your wedding.
The groom is transported to the church 1 hour after
the ceremony was scheduled to consummate. Wedding
guests are bewildered and disgruntled. Yet, you saved
$50.
